Lauren Noir partners with Plant A Forest Foundation to achieve long-term Green Initiative
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – February 19, 2009 – Lauren Noir has partnered with Plant A Forest Foundation to carry out their reforestation strategy - a part of their corporate environmental stewardship. This collaboration marks an essential component enabling Lauren Noir to offset its carbon footprint and achieve CO2 reduction rapidly. Plant A Forest Foundation plant trees and addresses climate change throughout the country reforesting areas in National Wildlife Refuges from New Jersey to Texas to South Carolina to Georgia. As the trees grow, they absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere (C02 is a potent greenhouse gases) and convert it into oxygen. In addition to trapping the dangerous gases that cause climate change, these new forests help to protect water quality, restore wildlife habitat and enhance public recreation areas. The average American is responsible for emitting approximately 20 tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere each year. Offsetting Lauren Noir’s carbon footprint will support greenhouse gas reduction projects and hasten the transition to a clean energy future for the company and the world.
